FORMER East 17 frontman Brian Harvey has shared a video appearing to show the moment he was arrested last month.

The ex-lead singer was filmed being put in handcuffs by cops and could be heard complaining “they’re too tight, it’s cutting on the bone".

In the video titled ‘Me Arrested’, which was posted on YouTube at around 10pm last night, Harvey says he was taken into custody for “malicious communication”.

The bizarre video is understood to show him being arrested outside his London home on March 21.

He was also hospitalised after "threatening self-harm" in a livestream video.

The singer can be heard talking with cops outside his Walthamstow home while his pal films.

"These cuffs are tight, it’s this top one," Harvey says.

"It’s cutting on bone, both of them. It’s hurting."

Police were called to the star's East London home over concerns for his welfare - and reportedly threatened to taser him in a tense stand-off.

Following a mental health assessment at hospital, Brian was taken into police custody.

In a string of videos, which have since been deleted, the star spoke about his financial struggles, living on benefits and the government.

He also shared clips of police arriving at his home in Walthamstow, East London.

Officers were reportedly filmed threatening to taser him.

One cop was shown telling Harvey: "We are not leaving here without coming in and speaking to you.

"Forget all the copper s**t, I’m talking to you man-to-man."

Following a mental health assessment at hospital, Harvey, 44, was taken into police custody.

He did not suffer any injuries, according to police.

After the news broke last month, his ex-girlfriend Danniella Westbrook posted: "Brian is a good good man and if this is true I hope he gets the help he needs."

Harvey shot to fame in 1991 as the lead singer of boy band East 17 - later renamed E-17.

The group sold millions of records and scored several top 10 hits, including 1994 Christmas number one Stay Another Day.

But he was sacked from the band in 1997 over comments appearing to condone the use of ecstasy following the death of 18-year-old Leah Betts.

He suffered a serious head injury after being attacked in a nightclub in 2001.

Harvey appeared in the I'm A Celebrity jungle in 2004 but quit after a row with Janet Street-Porter.

He almost died in 2005 when he fell under the wheels of his Mercedes after gorging himself on tuna mayonnaise and cheese jacket potatoes.

Harvey claimed he wasn't trying to kill himself, but he had fallen out of the car as he was reversing, after the food made him feel sick.

He said he pulled open his car door to vomit while driving down a cul-de-sac, only to be thrown from his seat and crushed underneath his speeding car.

Brian shattered his pelvis, broke his ribs and punctured his lung, but luckily survived.

He recorded a bizarre song about the episode in 2015, with lyrics including: “Jacket potatoes, cheese and that. I don’t wanna die.”

In 2018, Harvey posted a video in which he claimed to have not left his home in years.

He said: "I’ve been a prisoner in my own home now for about five years. Four to five years.

"I’ve got to be trapped, like a prisoner, in my own home after selling 22million records. I’ve never done nothing to no one. I just chose not to get involved."

YOU'RE NOT ALONE

EVERY 90 minutes in the UK a life is lost to suicide.

It doesn't discriminate, touching the lives of people in every corner of society - from the homeless and unemployed to builders and doctors, reality stars and footballers.

It's the biggest killer of people under the age of 35, more deadly than cancer and car crashes.

And men are three times more likely to take their own life than women.

Yet it's rarely spoken of, a taboo that threatens to continue its deadly rampage unless we all stop and take notice, now.

That is why The Sun launched the You're Not Alone campaign.

The aim is that by sharing practical advice, raising awareness and breaking down the barriers people face when talking about their mental health, we can all do our bit to help save lives.

Let's all vow to ask for help when we need it, and listen out for others... You're Not Alone.

If you, or anyone you know, needs help dealing with mental health problems, the following organisations provide support:
