Coronation Street fans convinced David Platt goes to prison after actor Jack P Shepherd books back to back holidays away from the soap

CORRIE star Jack P Shepherd has left fans fearing for his character David Platt’s fate, as he reveals he’s booked back to back holidays.

The actor is currently on a plush Caribbean break with girlfriend Hanni Trewee and is set to go to New York next week.

Jack, 31, shared a video of Hanni opening presents to his Instagram page, which showed her squealing with joy before bursting into tears as she realised what it was.

The star then revealed they were all going to New York next week (Wednesday) to continue the birthday celebrations.

Under the video fans - and celebrity pals including Michelle Keegan - rushed to wish Hanni a happy birthday but some were clearly worried about what an extended holiday could mean for Jack’s character, David Platt.

One follower wrote: “Congrats but I hope this doesn’t mean David’s going prison.”

The barber’s future is currently uncertain as both he and older brother Nick are both up on a theft charge for stealing their gran’s money.

Corrie fans know that Nick – with Natalie Watkin’s help – stole the money out of his gran’s account but it looks like David is set to take the wrap for the whole thing.

Natalie is the only person who can back up his claims Nick stole the £80k from Audrey, but it she seems to have disappeared, just when David needs her the most.
