Game Of Thrones star Kit Harington ‘to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe’
KIT Harington is rumoured to be taking up his first acting role since Game of Thrones as he "joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe".
Deadline reports the 32-year-old actor has signed up to the superhero franchise, but his role is being kept under wraps.
Game of Thrones' finale aired in May after it was revealed Kit was in rehab getting treatment for alcohol issues and stress.
Just days before checking in to a £94,800-a-month wellness retreat, the actor mocked his failing movie career and admitted he feared for the future while presenting Saturday Night Live.
Sources said he struggled to cope with the idea of the hit HBO series ending.
He spent weeks undergoing psychological coaching, practising mindful meditation and cognitive behavioural therapy while at the facility.
But now he looks to be putting the past behind him as he takes on an entirely new challenge.
Secrets about the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe have been leaking from Disney's D23 convention.
There are many projects in the pipeline for the streaming service Disney+ including Marvel's What If...?, which will see Peggy Carter become Captain America.
Fans are convinced Kit is going to be the new Wolverine - with insiders claiming he's been training for months in the gym to transform his body.
One said: "Kit Harington as the Next Wolverine. Yasssssssss."
Someone else speculated: "Totally down for Kit Harington being the new Wolverine. Great casting right there if the rumours are true."
Another added: "Kit Harington would make a perfect Wolverine."

Kit married his GoT on-screen love interest Rose Leslie who has been "extremely supportive" since his stint in rehab.

Alongside his starring role as Jon Snow in Game of Thrones, Kit is known for being in Pompeii and Spooks: The Greater Good.
