Last week she and her partner Paddy Lyons welcomed their son Brayden into the world.

She told the Limerick Leader: "We’ve been through what we’ve been through, and we’ve stuck together through it.

"It’s made us a lot stronger and being able to talk about what we have been through is good and it’s helped other people to speak up and that’s good too.

“You always wish that you’d get to this point but you never know if you actually will, so to have him home with us here is absolutely fantastic. It’s surreal, we keep staring at him, it’s brilliant.

“He’s perfect, we’re blessed with him. Everything is worth it.”

The sales and marketing advisor earned admirers all over Ireland during her stint on Operation Transformation, including that of presenter Kathryn Thomas who also had two miscarriages before giving birth to daughter Ellie.

BROKE DOWN

On the first episode of the new series of Operation Transformation Jean told Kathryn about her experiences and Kathryn broke down in tears while chatting to her.

The OT star's first pregnancy was ectopic and dangerous for her.

Jean said: "I'm 33 now and I always thought you just got pregnant and you had a child."

Doctors were monitoring Jean during her second pregnancy and she developed complications at around seven months.

Jean said: "At my 31-week scan I had very little fluid around the baby and my placenta was low."

Sloane was born in January 2018 and everything seemed OK at first.

However, then she suddenly developed what doctors thought was a serious lung disorder.

Sloane was flown to Sweden for further medical help where doctors discovered she had a heart defect that they were unable to treat.

Jean said: "Unfortunately, the veins going into her heart were just going in the wrong way."

Viewers were thrilled when the bubbly 33-year-old had to leave the show in week six after finding out she was pregnant.
