A SCHOOL with "storage issues" has been given permission to install two storage containers on its grounds.

Bradford Forster Academy on Fenby Avenue is a relatively new secondary school - built just four years ago.

But the school says a lack of storage space in the new building has meant it has had to use a storage container to house a number of items.

Its temporary planning permission to house the existing storage container was running out, so it recently applied for planning permission to retain the container as well as install another one on site.

That application has now been approved by Bradford Council.

The school had said: "Bradford Forster Academy was constructed 4 years ago to the latest school template layout for a secondary school of its size.

"The issue with the template is there is very little storage space within the building and the since the school is opened this lack of storage space has created issues for school."

Planners said the containers would be in an "unobtrusive location" at the back of the school.
