TRAVEL

By train:

Bradfordians rejoice, for once you don't have to make your way to Leeds Railway Station to begin your away-day.

It's as simple as getting to Bradford Interchange where you'll want to get the Northern Rail service to Huddersfield.

Once on there, wait around 13 minutes (two stops), before getting off at Halifax Railway Station.

The ground is then half a mile (nine minute walk) from there.

Head out of the station on the Eureka side and turn left onto Church Street.

You'll come to a roundabout where you need to take the first exit onto South Parade, before taking a right at the next roundabout onto Hunger Hill.

It's then your next left, where you'll see the stadium ahead of you.

The trains from the Interchange to Halifax are relatively regular (even on Good Friday which we checked using Trainline) and it costs £3.30 for an adult single.

By car:

This journey typically takes between 25 and 40 minutes, depending on the traffic.

From the centre of Bradford, the quickest route is to aim for Halifax Road (A6036).

Keep on this road and continue as it merges onto Leeds Road (A58).

Follow this briefly before taking the A647 exit towards Queensbury.

Next, turn left onto Charlestown Road (look out for signs for Huddersfield/Manchester/A629/M62).

At the first roundabout take the first exit, then the second exit at the next roundabout.

Continue on Charlestown Road as it turns right and becomes Bank Bottom, then take the third exit onto Church Street at the roundabout.

Then it's onto Alfred Street East, before a quick left onto Square Road and continuing on to Church Street.

At the next two roundabouts continue straight and you'll eventually come onto Shay Syke and then Shaw Hill, where you'll turn right to get into the ground.

Parking:

There is limited parking at the stadium, but there is some street parking to be had if you arrive early.

In the past, fans have been able to make use of the nearby Hunger Hill Multi Storey Car Park for a £5 fee.

Otherwise it's a case of trying out some of the other car parks in and around the town centre.

PUBS

To the north of the stadium, in the town centre, there's a number of options (all around a ten minute walk away).

But here’s a selection of what is closest:

Three Pigeons Ale House: The nearest option - only a five minute walk from the ground - and owned by Ossett Brewery. It is listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide and tends to have a mixture of both home and away fans.

The Old Post Office Pub: This pub welcomes supporters from all away clubs and opens at 11:45am. Kids are welcome and it's only a 14 minute walk away.

Shears Inn: Down some backstreets, well worth winding your way seven minutes to the south-east of the ground to find this one. There's The Cross Keys just over Hebble Brook.

The Barum Top Inn: The local Wetherspoons in the town centre. Need we say anymore?
