Galway shake it up and have Tyrone in sights

They had the strong breeze but there was a clear change of approach from Galway when they met Mayo in Castlebar three weeks ago; they were moving the ball quicker and more directly than usual, mostly with smart and precise kick-passing.

Galway nailed five of their first seven shots but their dominance seemed set to evaporate when Michael Daly and Barry McHugh were black-carded within a minute. Thirteen-man Galway parked the bus but they were swift and decisive on the counter-attack. By the time Daly and McHugh returned, they had outscored Mayo by 1-1 to 0-1.
