The father of a man who died undiscovered next to the M9 has claimed that efforts to gain justice have been hampered by the botched investigation into the Glasgow bin lorry tragedy.

John Yuill and Lamara Bell lay badly injured for three days after their car veered off the road near Stirling in 2015. Sightings of their wrecked car were reported to the police but were not followed up. Mr Yuill, 28, died at the scene and Ms Bell, 25, died after four days in hospital.

Gordon Yuill, 54, claimed that an investigation into their deaths had been held up because of concerns over how the Glasgow bin lorry tragedy was handled. Harry Clarke fell unconscious at the wheel of a refuse truck on December
