TRAFFIC was held on the M6 Southbound this morning after swans were spotted on the motorway.
At around 8.20am swans were seen on the M6 between Junction 36, A590, Kirkby Lonsdale to Junction 35, A601(M), Carnforth.
Traffic was stopped while the swans were moved off the motorway.

However, it has been reported that a swan still remains on the hard shoulder.
