MORE than 40 countries competed in the 14th Marmalade Awards held annually at Dalemain Mansion.
Award winners flocked to Cumbria from around the world to collect their prizes and celebrate the sticky preserve.
This year's competition saw more than 3,000 entries and the "best in show" prize was won by Beth Furnell from Flint, Wales, with her bitter sweet jam.
Her marmalade will now be commercially produced by Thursday Cottage and sold throughout the year, with 50p from each jar going to Hospice at Home Carlisle & North Lakeland.
