Three fire engines attended the scene
A person had to be rescued from a river near Workington yesterday.
Three fire crews were called at 5.15pm to reports of a person in water near to Workington.
Crews found the person in the middle of a river and used a rescue boat as well as swift water rescue techniques to bring the person to safety.
Fire crews were in attendance for one hour and a half.
