New Workington Reds boss Danny Grainger will take charge of his first league game as the club’s manager at home to Pickering Town.

Grainger’s Reds will start and end what they hope will be a promotion campaign in the BetVictor Northern Premier North West Division at Borough Park, getting under way against Town on Saturday, August 17.

The manager will then take his squad to Trafford on Tuesday, August 20 as the Saturday-Tuesday grind starts early.

Reds have been handed a welcome home game on Boxing Day against Dunston but they will visit Pontefract Collieries on New Year’s Day.

The final league game of the regular season will see them host Droylsden on Saturday, April 25.
