Bengaluru opens up to transport: 23 Vayu Vajra buses to take passengers to Kempegowda Airport

The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has granted permission to operate buses from 5 locations to the Kempegowda International Airport.

Bengaluru: The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has taken the decision of operating 23 Vayu Vajra (AC Volvo) services for the convenience of passengers. The buses will ply to Kempegowda International Airport from 3rd June 2020. 

The service will be available on the following routes- 

1.Mysore satellite Bus Stand to Kempegowda International Airport

2.Kempegowda BS to Kempegowda International Airport

3.Banashankari to Kempegowda International Airport

4.Electronics City to Kempegowda International Airport

5.BTM layout to Kempegowda International Airport.

Passengers are requested to utilise these services.

As per the website of Kempegowda International Airport, intercity bus service will be available for the passengers. The bus service will take the passengers to the Kempegowda airport from three destinations- Kundapura, Mecara Madikeri and Mysuru. Car rentals and parking facility will also be available for the passengers. 

The passengers arriving at the airport will be screened and quarantined if they test positive. The state of Karnataka is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the safety of the passengers. 

From contactless travel to the parking-to-boarding facility, the authorities are taking steps to prevent the further spread of coronavirus in the state.
