New Delhi: The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are regarded as the paragon of beauty. Witha landscape full with scenic and picturesque extravaganza, the islands are one of the most popular tourist destinations in South Asia. The dense forest covering these islands and the innumerable exotic flowers and birds create an amazing touring atmosphere. 

It may be noted that the Andaman and Nicobar are a group of picturesque Islands, inhabited and uninhabited, a total of 572 islands, islets and rocks lying in the southeastern part of the Bay of Bengal. They lie along an arc in a long and narrow broken chain, approximately north-south over a distance nearly 800 km.

If you are wanting to visit the gorgeous islands, Railways' tourism and catering arm IRCTC is offering 'Andaman Emeralds' tour package. The tour starts every Saturday and it covers Port Blair and Havelock Island destinations. 

The tour package includes a visit to Ross Island, Church Bakery, Corbyns Cover Beach, Kala Pani Jail or Cellular Jail. Tourist will also get to enjoy a ferry ride to Havelock Island and will get to witness the world famous Radha Nagar Beach and Kala Pathar Beach. It will also include a visit to the Naval Marine Museum (Samudrika), Anthropological Museum and more. 

Tour package price:

The package includes:

1. Accommodation on double sharing basis at all places.

2. Full day tour with all transfers including airport pickup and drop.

3. Entry permits, entry tickets, ferry tickets and forest area permits wherever applicable.

4. Meals in MAP (05 BF+05 D).

Itinerary

Day 1: Port Blair

Meet and Greet on arrival at Port Blair Airport and get transferred to the hotel with IRTC local representative. After check and quick refreshment proceed to Ross Island, the erstwhile capital of Port Blair during the British regime. After lunch trip to Corbyn's Cove Beach, coconut palm fringed beach, 7 km away from Port Blair town, and later to the Cellular Jail. Overnight stay at Port Blair.

Day  2:  Port Blair - Havelock Island

Morning depart to Havelock Island by ferry to Havelock Island (54 km by sea from Port Blair). Enjoy your afternoon at the World Famous Radha Nagar Beach and Kala Pathar Beach. Overnight stay at respective hotel/resort at Havelock Island.

Day 3: Havelock Island- Niel Island

After breakfast, check out and visit Elephanta beach. Enjoy various water sports activity. Return back to Havelock. After lunch, proceed to Neil Island by ferry. Evening at leisure. Dinner and Night stay in resort.

Day 4: Niel Island - Port Blair

Day free for leisure at beach. Get a glimpse of various resorts and dive centres enroute. Return back to your resort for lunch. Sail for Port Blair in the evening. Overnight stay at respective hotel at Port Blair.

Day 5: Port Blair Local Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed to Naval Marine Museum (Samudrika) - gives a good retrospect of the history, shells, Corals marine life, geography and archaeology of these islands. Afterwards, visit the Anthropological Museum. Later visit Ross Island. The island presently houses the ruins of old buildings like Chief Commissioner’s House, Government House, Church, Bakery, Press, Swimming Pool, Cemetery, etc. and all in dilapidated condition. Visit North Bay island. Enjoy various Water sports activity (at guests' own cost). The evening is free for shopping. Overnight stay at respective hotel in Port Blair.

Day 6: Departure from Port Blair

After breakfast, get transferred to the airport to board your flight.

Rules and Regulations:

1. Management has the right to alter itinerary according to unavoidable circumstances.

2. IRCTC is not liable for any type of accident/ strike/ theft/ damage of luggage, etc. during the tour period.

3. Tour is subject to operation in case of minimum booking of passengers.

4. One child 1-4 years will be complimentary, sharing with parents in hotel accommodation only.

5. Flight tickets are required for children above 2 years and below 12 years.

6. The infant ticket is required for child below 2 years.

7. Site-seeing as per itinerary.
