Want to travel Andaman and Nicobar Islands under Rs 30,000? Check this IRCTC tour package

New Delhi: If you are planning to travel Andaman and Nicobar Islands and your budget is under Rs 30,000, then IRCTC's Andaman Delights tour package can be considered. There are about 572 islands in Andaman and Nicobar including big and small, inhabited and uninhabited islands. The name of the package is Andaman Delights Ex-GHY.

This four nights/ five days tour will commencement from August 10, 2019. There are 20 seats available and will cover destinations such as Port Blair and Havelock Islands. The package will include breakfast and dinner. The package tariff is Rs 29,220 per person on double occupancy. 

The traveling mode is by flight. The flight will depart from Guwahati at 7.20 AM and arrive at Port Blair at 2.30 PM. Whereas in return journey, it will depart from Port Blair at 8.50 AM and reach Guwahati at 5.15 PM.

As per the itinerary, on the first day of the tour, there will be a trip of Corbyns Cove Beach. One can also enjoy  Light and Sound Show at the Cellular Jail. Tourists will leave to Havelock Island by ferry on the next day. In the afternoon, they can enjoy Radha Nagar Beach. On the third day of the tour, tourists will visit Kala Pathar by road. There will also be a visit to Elephanta Beach which will be optional at guest own cost. After that, they will sail for Port Blair.

On the last day of the tour, tourists will proceed to Ross Island. This island presently houses the ruins of old buildings like Chief Commissioner’s House, Government House, Church, Bakery, Press, Swimming Pool, Cemetery, etc. After that, there will be a visit to the Naval Marine Museum which will give a retrospect of Corals marine life of these islands,  Chatham Saw Mill, Forest Museum, Anthropological Museum, etc.

The package cost will include airfare for onward and return journey, AC accommodation on double or triple sharing basis at all places, full day tour with all transfers including airport pickup and drop, entry permits, entry tickets, ferry tickets and forest area permits wherever applicable, assistance at all arrival and departure points, etc. The package has, however, some exclusions as well such as meals in flight, any porterages at hotels, tips, telephone charges, laundry charges, etc, any increase in airport taxes, fuel surcharge or any type of water sports activities. 

According to the IRCTC, flight tickets are required for the child above 2 years and below 12 years. The cancellation charges will be as per the company policy. There will be no refund for flight tickets.
