Delhi experiences storm; rainfall in Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad

Delhiites reeling under intense humid conditions heaved a sigh of relief on Monday as Delhi witnessed a sudden change in the weather.

New Delhi: Delhiites reeling under intense humid conditions heaved a sigh of relief on Monday as Delhi witnessed a sudden change in the weather, resulting in overcast skies. Many areas of the national capital witnessed severe storm. However, Delhi is yet to receive rainfall.

Meanwhile, some areas of Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad received rainfall. Reports say that some pockets of Faridabad and Hapur district in Uttar Pradesh were lashed with heavy rain. Few sectors of Noida also experienced showers.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on June 25 had declared the onset of monsoon. However, the national capital is yet to receive any rainfall. Due to no showers, the temperature was hovering around over 35 Degrees Celsius fo the last few days and the humidity level was extremely high.
