North West Delhi Election Results 2019: Hans Raj Hans' margin of victory is close to 4.5 lakhs which is completely unprecedented. His lead margin is the best amongst all the leading candidates in Delhi.

North West Delhi Election Results 2019 @16:25: The ploy to contest Hans Raj Hans from here has worked for BJP and is currently leading by whopping 436,639 votes. BJP is gaining a big lead in Delhi and is ahead in all the seven seats. 

North West Delhi Election Results 2019 @13:10: Hans Raj Hans is leading by 319,777 votes and has the second-highest margin among all the seats in Delhi.

North West Delhi Election Results 2019 @11:00: Hans Raj Hans, who is contesting from BJP this time, is ahead by 67,512 votes. He started his career with SAD and then switched to Congress before joining BJP.

Delhi: The Lok Sabha constituency of North West Delhi went to polls in the sixth phase of the 2019 general elections on May 12. The constituency came to existence in 2008 after the delimitation exercise. North West Delhi is divided into 10 Vidhan Sabha segments. The constituency is reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste category. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) are represented by Hans Raj Hans, Rajesh Lilothia and Gugan Singh Ranga respectively.

Padma Shri singer Hans Raj Hans started his political career with the Shiromani Akali Dal in 2009 contesting from the Jalandhar constituency but resigned in 2014. He shifted to the Congress in 2016 and later joined the BJP the same year in December 2016.

Gugan Singh Ranga is a former member of Delhi Legislative Assembly. He joined the AAP in 2017 under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal.

Rajesh Lilothia is a former member of Delhi Legislative Assembly from Patel Nagar constituency. He is currently serving as the working president of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee along with Devender Yadav and Haroof Yusuf.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha election, Udit Raj of the BJP defeated Rakhi Birla of the AAP by a margin of 1,06,802 (7.9 per cent) votes. The constituency witnessed a voter turnout of 61.8 per cent.

All seven Lok Sabha seats of Delhi went to polls on May 12. The results of the elections will be declared on May 23. The upcoming will be the 17th Lok Sabha of India.
