Pulwama terror attack: Salman Khan's Notebook and Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh to not release in Pakistan

Salman Khan's Notebook starring Zaheer Iqbal and Pranutan Bahl and Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh will not be released in Pakistan in the light of Pulwama attack in Jammu & Kashmir.

The entire nation is mourning the loss of 40 CRPF jawans in the latest Pulwama attack in Jammu & Kashmir. While some of the Bollywood celebrities donated money for the welfare of the martyred families, most of the stars took to their social media account to display their grief and anger over the recent terror strike. Not only this but in the wake of the current situation, makers of the films including Total DhamaalLukka Chuppi, and Arjun Patiala decided not to release their movies in Pakistan. Adding to the list, Salman Khan's Notebook, and the Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh have withdrawn their release in the neighboring country.

Producer Murad Khetani was at a promotional event of his film Notebook when he announced the news. He was quoted as saying, " We are not releasing our film ('Notebook') in Pakistan. Earlier, after All India Cine Workers Association announced a blanket ban on Pakistani artistes working in the Indian film industry, Salman got his singer, Atif Aslam replaced in his upcoming production. After ditching Atif's version of the song, the makers of the film decided to re-record the track. Meanwhile, Notebook will mark the acting debut of the daughter the Mohnish Bahr and granddaughter of Nutan, Pranutan Bahl. The film also stars Zaheer Iqbal, who is also set to make his acting debut in the Nitin Kakkar directorial.

On the other hand, Shahid's Kabir Singh in the Hindi remake of the superhit Telugu release, Arjun Reddy. Written and directed by Sandeep Vanga, the film also stars Kiara Advani in a pivotal role. Kabir Singh is slated to release on June 21.
