E-pass, 14-day quarantine must for citizens of 6 states travelling to Karnataka: State govt

Bengaluru: All persons coming to Karnataka will be required to obtain an e-pass from the state’s Seva Sindhu portal and will be required to remain in 7 days of institutional quarantine and 7 days home quarantine.
The BS Yediyurappa-led Karnataka government in a statement on Saturday said the above requirements will be applicable to those coming to the states from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
The state government in a presser on Saturday laid out the norms and process for the surveillance of the incoming passengers, including those coming by domestic air flights, to Karnataka from other states.
As part of the quarantine norms, those coming to Karnataka from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Rajasthan. Madhya Pradesh will be subjected to a 7-day institutional quarantine followed 7 days of isolation at home.

E-pass
All incoming persons should obtain a pass from Seva Sindhu portal (https.lisevasindhu.kamatakamov.in/Sevasindhu/English) of the state government.
For facilitating the E-pass from Seva Sindhu portal, health check, and exit from the airport/railway station, the following process has been put in place.
- A designated officer of civil aviation/railways uploads the information about passengers (name, mobile number, PNR, flight number and flight origin date in excel sheet form) on the portal at least 2 hours before the scheduled departure of the flight: Or, Emails the information to Karnataka State Covid19 War Room (email: covid19warroom@karnataka@gov.in) for uploading in the system;
- Passenger applies on Seva Sindhu portal giving mobile number, address in Karnataka and PNR before reaching the origin airport/railway station and shows the acknowledgement SMS at the check-in counter / to TTE; this facility at the portal will be operational from 12 noon on 24th May; Step 2 is independent of Step 1;
- On validation with the uploaded information, the application is approved and the E-pass is communicated to the passenger's mobile phone even before the arrival;
- On arrival, the E-pass is verified and health check is carried out;
