Jammu: With the busting of the Lashkar module and cave hideout in Budgam, security forces gave a major jolt to Pakistan and Pakistan proxies trying to sabotage peace in the Kashmir Valley.

Following specific inputs, joint operation group of the J&K Police along with 53 Rashtriya Rifles and 153 battalion of CRPF raided Khan Saheb area in Budgam and arrested Lashkar terrorist identified as Zahoor Wani. Large quantities of arms and ammunition were recovered from his possession.

Information provided by Wani helped joint operation team bust cave hideout and nab four more Lashkar operatives from a nearby area. This Lashkar module was operating in Central Kashmir for the last several months. Besides providing logistic support to Lashkar commanders, their job was to lure youngsters to join terror ranks.

This is considered to be a major success after elimination of top Hizbul Commander Reyaz Naikoo.
