Earlier today, CRPF also issued an advisory on “fake messages” being circulated on social media about harassment of students from Kashmir.

“Fake news about harassment of students from #Kashmir is being propagated by various miscreants on social media. CRPF helpline has enquired about complaints about harassment and found them incorrect. Taking note of the reports, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), on Saturday, issued an advisory to all states and Union Territories to take necessary measures to ensure the safety of students and residents of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to MHA officials, there have been some reports of students and other residents of Jammu and Kashmir experiencing threats and intimidation in light of Pulwama attack, PTI reported.

On February 14, Pakistani-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed carried out a brutal attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district 14 claiming lives of 40 CRPF personnel.
