J&K: Two BSF troopers killed in terror attack on the outskirts of Srinagar; weapons looted

The BSF said both the jawans were injured in the attack and both of them succumbed to their injuries later. Two weapons have also been taken away by the terrorists.

Srinagar: Terrorists ambushed a Border Security Force (BSF) patrol party on the outskirts of Jammu and Kashmir’s summer capital, Srinagar, on Wednesday evening. At least two jawans of the paramilitary force have been killed in the attack.

The BSF said the two jawans were injured in the attack and both of them succumbed to their injuries later. Two weapons have also been taken away by the terrorists.

“Both injured troopers succumbed to injuries. Reports received that two weapons also been lifted. Details to follow,” the BSF said.

The terror attack took place at a checkpoint at Pandach, on the outskirts of Srinagar. Reports said the BSF party was attacked by some bike-borne terrorists.

The area was cordoned off after the attack and a massive hunt was launched to nab the terrorists.
