Uttar Pradesh: Dilapidated boundary wall claims life of school principal in Gorakhpur
Sharda Singh, 55, died while receiving treatment after the boundary wall she was standing next to at a primary govt school in Kasarwal (Kashroul) village of Sahjanwa block in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.
Lucknow: In another shocking piece of news from Uttar Pradesh, the principal of a government primary school in Gorakhpur died as the boundary wall at the premises collapsed on her. The incident occurred on Monday at the school situated in Kasarwal (Kashroul) village situated in Sahjanwa block of the district.
As per the police, the deceased was identified as 55-year-old Sharda Singh who was killed after a boundary wall she was standing next to caved in. Singh died while receiving treatment at a local hospital where she was immediately rushed to, following the incident.
Prakash Singh, Station House Officer, Sahjanwa told news reporting agency PTI that Sharda Singh died at the time she was receiving treatment at BRD Medical college. The prima facie reason behind her death was the collapsing of the school boundary, further stated the SHO. While a post-mortem report is awaited, the SHO added that no one had filed a complaint regarding the incident until the time of the autopsy examination.
In another Uttar Pradesh shocker, a 16-year-old girl was set ablaze by her cousin after she said ‘No’ to his marriage proposal. The incident occurred at Jarakhar village situated in Hamirpur district on Sunday at the time she had gone to attend nature’s call in the evening.
