[VIDEO] 2 held for assaulting, abusing on-duty Delhi traffic cops; video goes viral

As many as two boys were seen abusing and assaulting on-duty Delhi traffic cops during the afternoon hours on Monday. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media.

New Delhi: In a case reported from the national capital, two boys were seen abusing and assaulting on-duty Delhi traffic cops during the afternoon hours on Monday. The incident was filmed and later uploaded on social media. The video has gone viral across social media platforms.  

Times Now reported, the incident happened near the Netaji Subash Place area, in North-West Delhi. The police have booked the accused under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and a probe in the case is underway.  However, a parallel inquiry has also been initiated concerning with the traffic cops' presence in the isolated area. Meanwhile, the accused boys have alleged that the cops were demanding a hefty bribe from them which eventually resulted in the scuffle. 

The video which has gone viral shows that the accused boys are assaulting the on-duty traffic police officials and one of the officer was also seen wearing a helmet. Reportedly, in the recent past several such videos where cops are being assaulted have surfaced on social media.
