Haryana: 'I chant Goddess Kali mantra 108 times before murdering someone', serial killer tells cops

The Haryana police crime branch arrested a serial killer who claimed that he chants a mantra to goddess Kali,108 times to atone for his sins before murdering anyone.

Chandigarh: A serial killer who has been accused of killing more than seven people told the Haryana police crime branch that he chants a mantra to goddess Kali for 108 times to atone his sins. 

The man was identified as Jagtar Sinha. The Haryana police arrested him after cases of loot and dacoity spiked rapidly in the area on Monday night. 

According to a report in the India Today, Deputy Commissioner of police, Lokendra Sinha said, " that Jagtar has confessed to committing seven-eight murders and around 500-600 robberies. Confessing to crimes in front of the reporters, the serial killer said, "I have murdered people in Faridabad, Palwal, Kurukshetra, and Punjab. Before murdering my victims, I recite the Kali mantra 108 times to save myself from being cursed."

In recent times, there has been a noted sudden spike in crimes committed by psychologically imbalanced people. Earlier this week, another case reported in Haryana, Gurugram a 20-year-old man has been arrested by the police for raping a three-year-old girl. The man confessed that he breaks the victim's leg with a brick or a heavy object before raping her. The investigating officers have claimed that the accused man is the worst pedophile-serial killers known to the Indian law enforcement agencies.
