Kerala: Caught cheating, Class 12 student beats teacher

A class 12 student from Kerala allgedly beat up a Physics teacher after he questioned him on cheating in an examination. The teacher was admitted to the hospital with injuries in his earlobes and hand.

Kerala: A shocking incident happened on Friday at a school in Kerala. A school teacher was admitted to a hospital after a student allegedly beat him up. A student of class 12, the accused assaulted the teacher after he caught him cheating during an examination. The incident happened at a school in the Kasaragod district of Kerala. 

The accused is a minor and is a student of class 12. According to a report by the Indian Express, the incident took place on Friday at around 4 pm at the Chemnad Jama-ath Higher Secondary School. The students were giving their model examination on Humanities when the victim saw the accused cheating.

The victim, Bobby V Jose is a Physics teacher in the same school and was invigilating during the model examination. When he questioned the accused for cheating, the accused allegedly flew into a rage and hit Jose on the face. 

While talking to the IE, the manager of the school, C P Ahmed Ali alleged that after hitting his teacher on the face, the accused broke open one of the wooden legs of a desk and used it to hit the teacher. Not only this, he also kicked Jose in an attempt to knock him down. 

Following the incident, Jose was admitted to a hospital and he had a fractured hand long with injuries on his inner earlobes. While a case against the father of the accused has been filed because he allegedly threatened the teacher and warned him against complaining to the authorities, the accused has been found to have a negative image in the school.
