Bengaluru: In order to pay homage to the CRPF personnel who were killed in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir on February 14, more than 200 people in Karnataka's Shivamogga district donated blood at a blood donation camp on Sunday. The camp was organised by the local residents.
The news agency ANI reported the Deputy Commissioner of Shivamogga KA Dayanada also attended the camp along with wide participation of the residents of Shivamogga city's Gopal Gowda area. Dayanada told the agency that it was a good programme organised by the people. While donating the blood they remembered our brave soldiers and pay tribute. He also encouraged blood donation and said that he was happy to participate and everyone should donate blood to save lives.

The orchestrated attack by Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) attack on the CRPF convoy had killed 40 personnel. The ANI report further mentioned, as repercussions of the attack, then a day after the attack, the Centre announced the withdrawal of Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status granted to Pakistan. As many as 48 countries have extended support to India, condemning the dastardly act.
The convoy of 78 buses, in which around 2500 CRPF personnel were travelling from Jammu to Srinagar, came under attack at around 3.15 pm at Ladhu Modi Lethpora on February 14.
