Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar led wishes on Twitter as ace shuttlers Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap tied the knot. The couple completed legal formalities of their marriage in a registry and the religious ceremony will take place on December 16th followed by a lavish reception. The duo has known each other for more than a decade now and has represented India at the highest level in women's singles and men singles category respectively.

Saina took to Twitter on Friday to announce her marriage with Parupalli with a couple of pictures, where they can be seen dressed as bride and groom. Soon after Saina's tweet, wishes started flowing in for the couple with fans wishing them the best partnership in life. Sachin too joined the bandwagon and posted a heartfelt wish for the couple.

"Heartiest congratulations to @NSaina & @parupallik on their wedding. Have a happy married life! Wish you all the very best. May God bless you with the best partnership of your life," the Indian batting legend wrote on Twitter.

Former Indian batsman VVS Laxman also wished the couple on Twitter. "Wishing @NSaina and @parupallik a lifetime of love and happiness.
Best wishes on this wonderful journey, as you build your new lives together," he wrote. Along with Laxman, some other notable personalities like Suresh Raina and Sanjay Manjrekar among others also joined the bandwagon.

Saina and Parupalli were dating each other reportedly for past a decade before opening up about their love affair to their families, earlier this year. Both trained at the Gopichand Academy where there love blossomed. While Saina is one of the most celebrated shuttlers in India with as many as 23 international titles under her name, Parupalli to has won several accolades for the nation and remains the only Indian male shuttler to have reached the quarter-finals of an Olympics. He achieved the feat at London Olympics in 2012.
