Four-time WWE World Heavyweight champion Roman Reigns is all set to make a return at Raw and update the fans about his ongoing battle with Leukemia. Reigns relinquished the title back in October, revealing that cancer had returned after first striking him 11 years ago. The WWE announced Reigns' return on Friday, with Triple H being highly thrilled with the prospect of having the Big Dog back in the hut.

Reigns gave away the Universal title for Brock Lesnar as he had to take an indefinite break from the company in order to resume leukemia treatment. The former Shield star, having beaten the likes of John Cena, Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker en route to the absolute top, was to defend his title at the WWE Crown Jewel but health issues came in the way.

In a statement on the official website, WWE confirmed the return of 33-year-old:

"Last October, Roman Reigns (Joe Anoa’i) revealed to the WWE Universe that he would be stepping away from WWE — and relinquishing the Universal Championship — to focus on his battle with leukaemia, an illness that had returned 11 years after his initial diagnosis.

"On Monday, The Big Dog returns to provide an update on his treatment, live in Atlanta.

"What will Reigns have to say to the WWE Universe, more than four months after his last appearance on the red brand?"

Reacting to WWE's announcement, Triple H said: "No one fights harder and is tougher than @WWERomanReigns. Can’t wait to see him back in his yard this Monday on #Raw and hear how his battle is going."

Presently in a phase of redevelopment, WWE sees Reigns as John Cena's successor in becoming the face of the company after the WWE wrestler-turned-actor quits the company. The Big Dog has made many public appearances for the past few months, including filming scenes for The Rock's "Hobbs & Shaw" movie which is a spin-off from the Fast & Furious franchise.
