Vaishali, Bihar: When the residents of Bihar's Vaishali found out that an India One ATM was dispensing double money during transactions, people flocked to the kiosk to withdraw money. People even started to shout and quarrel with each other. The incident was reported from Chaksikandar village.

As soon as the news of fault in the ATM machine reached the representatives of India One ATM, they alerted the police. Soon after, the police reached the kiosk and shut down the ATM kiosk.

Babool Kumar, the cash loader of India One ATM, said that a crowd of about 50-100 people was gathered outside the kiosk, News 18 reported. Before the police reached the spot to control the situation, people had withdrawn about Rs 1.5-2 lakh.

After the company's representative reached the ATM kiosk, the investigation was started. Ved Prakash Singh, the company's engineer, said that the machine's data has been sent to the company's office in Mumbai. After data collection, the process of recovery of money will be started. Singh added that the cause of fault in the machine is being inspected.

Usually, such a problem arises when the notes are not kept in proper slots. If Rs 200 notes are kept in Rs 500 slot by mistake, then the ATM machine will release more money.

Earlier this month, a monkey entered into an ATM in South Avenue, Lutyens and shocked the cops. When the cops scanned the CCTV footage, they were surprised to find out that a monkey had broken into the kiosk. The CCTV footage showing the monkey entering the kiosk, playing with a broom and breaking open the cash dispensing machine had gone viral on social media.
