Oklahoma VA hosts Wichita Falls town hall-style Q and A
OKC VA health care systems director, Wade Vlosich answered questions -- some shouted -- during a town hall style meeting held at the Wichita Falls Regional Airport Tuesday morning.
During the meeting, veterans were invited to ask questions and use resources made available by the VA. During the Q and A, veterans asked about the Wichita Falls VA, traveling for medical care and how many veterans can the Wichita Falls VA service.
Vlosich said during the session that Wichita Falls has about 3,600 veterans being served by the local administration, which call for four primary care providers. During this session, Vlosich was asked questions such as: why do we have to drive to Lawton for medical treatment; and how do we get another health care provide in Wichita Falls?
The event, according to a press release, was meant to be a resource fair designed to allow veterans the opportunity to learn more about VA's resources and allow the directors to get feedback from Veterans and their families.
