An Oconomowoc Resort is selling everything inside its buildings.

"We have 300 plus rooms here," Frank Long, President of International Content Liquidations said. "We're selling it piece by piece. You can buy one item or you can buy 50."

Everything from chandeliers, beds, paintings down to brass banisters are for sale. The resort needs to be cleared for the next phase of the building. However, residents are enjoying the nostalgia while they can.

"We would come out here with family for Christmas parties," Dan Heiden of Oconomowoc said. "Coming out here, probably having too good a time once in a while."

"There is a lot of history here," Marcia Brown of Oconomowoc said. "Just uniqueness to everything. Yes, there are 100 mirrors that are the same, but there are one-of-a-kind pieces as well."

While there are many contractors coming in for commercial kitchen equipment, large fire places and more, Brown walked out with two pieces of artwork. She wanted pieces of nostalgia to remember good times with her family.

"It's bittersweet," Brown said. "I personally never stayed in the hotel but I did experience dining on Thanksgiving, bringing my kids here."

While the Olympia won't live on in name, it will in the homes and businesses across the area. Including the Dousman Lions' Club.

"We're buying some fixtures to redo our community center," Larry Williams of Dousman said. "We bought six chandeliers yesterday. We bought six for the price of one that we're going to put in the place. It's saving us about two grand."

The liquidation will take place for the next few weeks until everything is sold.
