18-year-old man involved in Thursday chase, crash in Milwaukee dies

MILWAUKEE — An 18-year-old male who was involved in a crash with a school bus about 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the 4000 block of West North Avenue has died, according to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office.He was pronounced dead at 2:48 p.m. Sunday at Froedtert Hospital.

An autopsy is pending, and no further information will be released at this time.

The crash involved two cars and a school bus.

The vehicle occupants who fled from the Milwaukee Police Department on Thursday and caused a three-car crash in the 4000 block of West North Street also were involved in the shooting of three juveniles in the 4600 block of North 36th Street, MPD said Friday in a news release.

About 3:10 p.m. Thursday in the 4600 block of North 36th, a 13-year-old girl, a 14- year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and were brought a local hospital.

A 14-year-old boy was arrested at the scene.

About 3:30 p.m. Thursday, MPD attempted to stop a vehicle occupied by a wanted person.

The vehicle reportedly refused to pull over for police when signaled to do so and subsequently crashed, causing a three-car crash on West North.
