MILWAUKEE — Beer lovers near and far, listen up!

Milwaukee County Parks are opening Whitnall beer garden and the Traveling Beer Garden on Monday.

“With so many festivals and events canceled in Milwaukee, the beer gardens will be a welcome taste of summer and a safe way for friends, family, and neighbors to come together,” said David Crowley, Milwaukee County Executive.

Whitnall Beer Garden in Greendale kicks off the festivities with their opening on Monday at 4 p.m. That is followed by The Traveling Beer Garden at Froemming Park in Franklin on Wednesday at 5 p.m. Then, the Traveling Beer Garden will be at Doctors Park in Fox Point on Friday at 5 p.m.

The profits from the beer gardens will go toward the parks and any necessary services they need.

Due to the current global pandemic, some changes have been made to the beer gardens.

Only single-use cups will be available, and tables are going to be placed further apart to honor social distancing recommendations.

Whitnall Beer Garden has added two additional trailers to limit lines, all of which will offer 24 different beers. Many of those beers are from local breweries.

Whitnall Beer Garden will be open weekdays from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m., and weekends from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. The same goes for the other traveling beer gardens.
