After debuting the garden she co-designed at May's Chelsea Flower Show, Kate Middleton is set to unveil its third iteration. According to the Daily Mail, the Duchess will formally open the outdoor space at the RHS Wisley Flower Show next week.
As in the garden's past versions at the Chelsea and Hampton Court Palace shows, the space has been imagined as kid-friendly, with a "Back to Nature" theme. This time around, there will even be some new features for kids to explore, including a treehouse with a hedgehog-inspired shape. It'll also reportedly have a sandpit and swings to play on. The Royal Horticultural Society worked on the design alongside Kate and Davies White Landscape Architects, the firm that worked on the original garden. Back then, Andrée Davies and Adam White said the Duchess had been extremely involved in the planning process.
"[The Duchess] is very hands on, model making, emailing images, coming up with all the ideas that we want to capture," Davies told the Telegraph. "She would often bring a folder of cuttings with her full of ideas."
All of her hard work paid off, as children—including her own Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—seemed to thoroughly enjoy playing in the first iteration. In an adorable video released during the Chelsea Flower Show, Prince William asks George what rating he'd give it out of 10. The young royal went for an even 20.
