A 19-year-old girl, a student of BSc-I and resident of Sirhind, was allegedly gangraped by three persons in Kharar in March this year.

The Fatehgarh Sahib police have registered a zero FIR against the three and have sent it to the Kharar Sadar police station for investigation.

The complainant told the Fatehgarh Sahib police that she was a student of BSc-I. In January, she went to attend the marriage of her friend’s brother in Patiala. After that she got a message from a boy, Karandeep Singh, and they became friends. In the last week of February, she went to McDonald’s in Rajpura along with Karandeep.

She was given a drink laced with a sedative and became unconscious. When she regained consciousness, she found herself without clothes. She alleged that on March 23, she got a message from the suspect asking her to meet him failing which he would upload her objectionable video.

She met him and was shown the objectionable video. She alleged that two others, Kamaljot Singh, a resident of Jalwera, and Gurbinder Singh, a resident Fatehpur Jattan, were also sitting in the car. When she asked about them, Karandeep told her that they wanted to be dropped at Kharar as they had go to Mohali.

She alleged that the two did not get down at Kharar and she was taken to a flat. She was given water and after drinking it, she became unconscious. She alleged that first she was raped by Karandeep and later by the other two.

She was then dropped at the gate of Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib. She alleged that she was being threatened ever since that her video would be made viral on the social media.

Now, her statement has been recorded and the zero FIR has been sent to the Kharar Sadar police station.
