Chandigarh Municipal Corporation has extended timings for home delivery of essential commodities in the city amid curfew restrictions.

A new order from the Chandigarh Municipal Commissioner says the corporation has extended time for home delivery of essential commodities such as groceries, meat, fish, fruits and vegetables from 9 am to 9 pm, and milk and eggs from 5 am to 9 pm. This relaxation applies to both shopkeepers as well as online delivery companies such Zomato and Swiggy that deliver essential commodities.

The development comes days after Chandigarh Administration’s orders to advance curfew relaxation hours to buy essentials by an hour from 10 am to 2 pm instead of 11 am to 3 pm previously.
