KUNDAN INTERNATIONAL: Kundan International School celebrated Independence Day with zeal and patriotism.



Kundan International School celebrated Independence Day with zeal and patriotism. Students presented a vibrant show. The National Flag was hoisted by the school president, KN Pathak, and Principal Manjeet Jauhar. A ‘nukkad natak’ titled ‘Kal, aaj aur kal’ was presented by students, depicting the changing society. The day culminated with the inaugural of the swings area and new play station for the primary wing students.

St. Joseph’s, Chandigarh

St Joseph’s School celebrated World Youth Day by organising a debate competition. The topic of the debate was ‘Is competition necessary for learning’. Sanya Mehta of the Ashoka House was adjudged the winner and Gursirat Kaur of the Ranjit House was the first runner-up. Position of the second runner-up was won by Gunjan Sabharwal of the Tagore House. A consolation price was won by Twinky Sachdeva of the Raman House.

AKSIPS-45, Chandigarh

Students of AKSIPS-45 Smart School participated in an awareness rally held at vegetable market in Sector 46, Chandigarh, under Hubs of Learning programme.

Kids ‘R’ Kids, Chandigarh

Kids ‘R’ Kids School, Sector 44-C, organised an inter class skating competition for Classes I to V. Students participated enthusiastically and showcased their skills.

PML SD PUBLIC, Chandigarh

Rahul Hooda of Pandit Mohan Lal Sanatan Dharam Public School, Sector 32, Chandigarh, won the bronze medal in the 3rd Boxing Junior Nation’s International Cup held at Urbas Serbia recently. He defeated Lugo Nathan of USA in 70-kg weight category.

Satluj Public, Panchkula

Gur K Serai, Director Principal of Satluj Public School, Sector 2, received the ‘Award for initiatives and invaluable contributions in reinventing schools for all round development of students’ on behalf of the Outdoor Education Research Team of Great Rocksport Private Limited. He said the award was recognition of the combined work of teachers, students and their parents, along with the management of the school.

Delhi Cambridge, Zirakpur

Delhi Cambridge School, Zirakpur, in association with Iskcon, Sector 36, Chandigarh, celebrated the Hare Krishna Maha Mahotsava on the school campus. School Principal Nitu Kumar lauded the efforts of Iskcon for bringing Krishna consciousness.

Stepping Stones, Chandigarh

A lecture on ‘Behavior of students’ was delivered by Seema Gupta, a psychologis, to the students of Stepping Stones School, Chandigarh. Students were explained how concentration and discipline are tools to improve their performance. A PPT on smart board was shown.

Guru Nanak Public, Chandigarh

An induction ceremony of the GNPS Interact Club was organised on the premises of Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36-D, Chandigarh. The event also marked the felicitation of Class XII toppers of the school. The chief guest was Raman Malik, president, Rotary Club, Chandigarh Central.
