The Indo Global Group of Colleges has formed an association with the IIT-Kanpur for SWAYAM-NPTEL Local Chapter.

This will provide college students with online content and certification courses from the IIT. Contents for the courses will be based on model curriculum suggested by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

College chairman Sukhdev Singla said the college will be a “Local Chapter” of NPTEL, IIT-Kanpur. “This will benefit the students through initiatives, such as e-learning, e-content, e-certification of courses, where students can study as their mood and play/pause/forward/backward/stop all online courses. More than 150 online short-term courses in engineering, management and architecture have been announced for the current semester for students from the coming session,” he said.

Duration of the courses will be four, eight or 12 weeks. The courses would be free for students. Certificate from organising IIT/IISc will be given to the candidates after the completion of course and examination.
