Faridabad, March 31

Faridabad on Tuesday reported another coronavirus case, taking the total number of cases in the city to five.

A resident of Sector 16 here, the patient is a 51-year-old man, whose report came in positive last night. He has been admitted to the Safdarjung hospital in New Delhi, where his condition is reported to be stable.

The man works with a tour and travel company and he is reported to have come into contact with a person in Noida, who tested positive for the disease last week.

"His family, consisting of his wife and two children, have been quarantined and isolated, with their samples being sent for testing," said Dr Ram Bhagat, Deputy Civil Surgeon.

The fourth case, that of a 57-year-old woman, was reported on Monday, taking the total in the city to five, so far, he said.

A 53-year-old woman, who was found to be the first positive case in the city, on March 20, has been discharged after she recovered.
