INIFD celebrates Holi

Ludhiana: Young designers of Inter National Institute of Fashion Design, Ludhiana, celebrated Holi with fervour.



Ludhiana: Young designers of Inter National Institute of Fashion Design, Ludhiana, celebrated Holi with fervour. The entire campus was decorated with colourful buntings, charts and flowers. “We instructed students to abstain from using wet colours. The institute provided colours to ensure that they were of a good quality,” said Mona Lall, executive director of the institute.  

Bajaj College

Bajaj College celebrated Holi with fervour today. Students participated in various events, including pass the water balloon, lucky balloon and pop the balloon. Principal Dr Shikha Dhall praised energetic students on the occasion. 

Student shines in English exam

Gurlene Kaur, MA English first semester student, of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, brought laurels to the college by ranking first in Panjab University with 72.25 per cent. She said efforts of faculty members coupled with blessings and support of her parents played an important role in her success.

Students excel in BBA exams

Students of Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology (GNIMT), Gujarkhan Campus, Model Town, Ludhiana, proved their mettle in BBA fifth semester result declared by the PTU. Nikita Gupta stood first with 8.88 out of 10.00 Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA), Anmol and Ramanpreet Kaur ranked second with 8.69 SGPA and Gautam Jain stood third by obtaining 8.35 SGPA. 

Students prove mettle in MA music

Students of Ramgarhia Girls College gave an outstanding performance in the MA (music vocal) third semester exams conducted by the Panjab University. Sanjot Kaur stood second in the PU and first in the college with 84.5 per cent. Khushkamal Kaur Dhindsa ranked fourth in the PU by obtaing 80.5 per cent and Amandeep Kaur ranked ninth in the PU with 75.5 per cent.

Interactive session organised

Ramgarhia Girls  College, Miller Ganj, organised an interactive session on “Universal brotherhood and peace” with nine member delegation from Indo- British Integrity Mission,  Birmingham, UK. Principal Dr Inderjit Kaur welcomed the guests. Delegates said  a culture of peace would be achieved when citizens understand that global problems can be solved non-violently. TNS
