Milkfed recruits 31 GADVASU students

LUDHIANA: Milkfed has recruited 31 dairy and veterinary students of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana, as Assistant Managers (management trainees) in procurement, production, quality assurance and animal husbandry.

Milkfed has recruited 31 dairy and veterinary students of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana, as Assistant Managers (management trainees) in procurement, production, quality assurance and animal husbandry.

Dr Amarjit Singh, placement-cum-liaison officer, GADVASU, said the appointment would be for a period of two years and after completion of 2nd year, students would be evaluated for placement in regular pay scale.

Dr Parkash Singh Brar, Dean, Veterinary Science College, said the university was now a center of excellence for veterinary education. He added that their graduates were well equipped to meet the challenges of industry and future scenario.

Dr Anil Kumar Puniya, Dean College of Dairy Science and Technology said the university was committed to produce quality human resource for dairy sector.

Dr Amarjit Singh Nanda, Vice-Chancellor, GADVASU, said in a short span of time the university has made significant achievements in all the diverse aspects of veterinary, dairy and fishery sciences with a focus on nutritional safety, food security and socio-economic development of masses. TNS
