Austrian Airlines has announced a new route linking Birmingham with Austrian capital Vienna.
Four-times weekly flights between Birmingham and Vienna International airport will get under way in the New Year, operated by Embraer 195 aircraft.
Flights will depart Birmingham at 1.15pm arriving 4.35pm local time in Vienna, offering eight business class and 112 economy seats.
The return flight leaves Vienna at 11.05am arriving Birmingham at 12.30pm.
It will become a daily service from summer 2020.
Andreas Koster, senior director of sales UK, Ireland and Iceland at Austrian parent Lufthansa Group, said: “We are delighted to launch the new Austrian Airlines service with a more coordinated flight schedule, resulting in more efficient and comfortable transfer possibilities to our long- and short-haul network.”
