London City airport plans to resume commercial flight operations "from the end of June".
Domestic services will resume first, flying to "key" UK cities and regions, the airport confirmed on Thursday (4 June).
International flights will resume in early July, although timing is subject to the UK’s proposed quarantine measures.
Operations at London City have been suspended since 25 March.
Efforts are ongoing to prepare the airport to meet new Covid-19 health and safety requirements.
City is promising passengers a "safe, careful and speedy" journey through the airport when operations resume.
Temperature checking technology has been installed to cover arrivals and departures, as well as new signage denoting changes to the passenger journey.
Staff will be provided face masks and visors, and the airport will also operate a new deep cleaning regime.
Surfaces, meanwhile, have been coated with an antibacterial treatment that lasts for up to 12 months.
Passengers will be required to observe social distancing wherever possible in the terminal, while the airport has partnered with CrowdVision to monitor areas where passengers are concentrated so they can be dispersed safely.
City has also used the pause to progress a number of airside projects including work on aircraft stands and a parallel taxiway, as well as new immigration and baggage facilities.
It will also canvass its passenger database to get their thoughts on the new, and future, airport experience.
“When our doors re-open again shortly, our ambition is to provide the best airport experience in the UK to our passengers by ensuring we follow industry guidance to the letter and by maintaining our reputation as the quickest London airport to get to and through," said London City chief executive Robert Sinclair.
“While there are many challenges ahead for the UK aviation industry, it is our hope that by outlining the steps we are taking to make the airport safe, and by incorporating the views of our regular travellers into our plans, we will give people the confidence to fly from our airport to destinations across the UK and Europe.”
