MILITARY NEWS: September 9, 2018

• Officer Nichole D. Hill graduated from the Department of Veterans Affairs Federal Police Academy on Aug. 3 at the Law Enforcement Training Center in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Hill will be employed at the Veterans Administration Building in Atlanta. Hill is the daughter of Doris Foster of Tuscaloosa and Bernard and Doris Nix Hill of York. Her mother pinned on her daughter's badge during the ceremony.

• Aviation Electrician's Mate 2nd Class Brittainy Butler, a 2012 Hale Country High School graduate and Moundville native, is serving with the U.S. Navy with Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 25 on the island of Guam. Butler is responsible for anything electrical on the aircraft. Butler was selected as Junior Sailor of the Quarter for 3rd Quarter, Fiscal Year 2018.
