Five things to do in Tuscaloosa this weekend

No. 1: The Kissel Fair at McFarland Mall began Thursday and will continue through March 17. Admission is $5 and grants access to an on-site circus. Armbands for unlimited rides are $20 Monday-Thursday and $25 Friday-Sunday. The fair opens at 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, 1 p.m. on Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays.

The museum will host a variety of Seuss-related activities, including a rhyming storytime and opportunities to stack the cat's hat, inspect oobleck and make a Thing painting. Admission is $9. No. 5: The Hollywood 16 multiplex continues its Flashback Cinema series with 1939 musical fantasy “The Wizard of Oz" on Sunday. The movie stars Judy Garland as Dorothy, who is trying to get back to home to Kansas after being whisked away to the mysterious land of Oz after a tornado. The movie will be shown at 2 and 7 p.m. Sunday at Hollywood 16, 4250 Old Greensboro Road. Matinee prices will be $10 general, $9 seniors and children; evening shows will be $12 general, $9 seniors and children. No. 2: Moundville Archaeological Park will host its annual Knap-In from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Expert flint-knappers will demonstrate and explain their craft and vendors of Native American craft items will sell their handiwork. Bill Skinner will provide an ancient tools and weapons range, where visitors can learn about weapons and try throwing an atlatl themselves. Educational activities and make-and-take crafts will be available for children. Traditional Native American food will also be available for purchase from Mrs. Juanita and her Choctaw Kitchen. Moundville is 13 miles south of Tuscaloosa, off Alabama Highway 69. Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors 55 years and older and $6 for students. SnoVille will serve shaved ice.
