A 22-year-old man hospitalized since he was shot in the head in St. Paul a week ago died on Sunday, police said on Monday.
On Dec. 2 at 10:20 p.m., officers were called to the area of the Dunning Recreation Center on Marshall Avenue, near Lexington Parkway, on a report of a shooting.
Soon after, someone dropped off Mohamed Abdi Mohamoud at Regions Hospital and he was immediately taken in for treatment, according to a police report.
He remained in intensive care until he died Sunday, according to police.
Since Mohamoud was shot, investigators have been interviewing witnesses and working to determine who shot him. No one has been arrested.
Mohamoud’s homicide was the 15th of the year in St. Paul.
The 16th came Sunday night, when a man was shot at Payne and Jessamine avenues and died soon after at Regions Hospital.
