Florida high school safety T.J. Robinson and the Gophers football program are no longer paired in the 2019 recruiting class.

“After a long talk with family and friends, I would like to thank the coaching staff and head coach P.J. Fleck for giving me an opportunity to play at the next level,” Robinson tweeted. “However, with that being said I will be decommitting from the University of Minnesota …”

Robinson, a 6-foot-3 safety from Riverview, Fla., gave an oral commitment to the Gophers on June 10. He had offers from Rutgers, Iowa State, Louisville and others.

The Gophers’ recruiting class includes 23 players, with early national signing day on Dec. 19.
