Thank you city of St. Paul for forcing me to have a particular garbage hauler. It is so pleasurable to see garbage cans and bags sitting on the curb for two weeks and watching the critters make havoc of the debris. I can’t wait until the snow melts so I can see all the garbage and plastic bags floating thru the city streets.
What a great idea to have me depend on a service that is so undependable. Never once did my previous garbage NOT pick up in all types of weather. And to charge me more money is so charming and thoughtful. Can’t wait for the next city council elections.

When I arrived the afternoon of Feb. 5 at the High Bridge Dog Park, I immediately noticed that the trash barrels were overflowing.
I figured that the Parks and Rec crews had been pretty busy with all the snow and ice but I thought that I should let someone know. I contacted Eric Thompson, Park and Rec program manager, about the situation.
While Bella (my black lab) and I were still playing, Eric Hansen and Joe O’Donnell appeared at the dog park and removed the garbage. They arrived in less than half an hour and while it was snowing heavily!
Thanks Eric, Eric and Joe for your prompt response and for all that you do to keep our parks looking great.
Whoof! Whoof! The dogs and their owners really appreciate it.

Feb. 4 was National Thank A Mail Carrier Day, and I saint my wonderful longtime mail carrier, Terry Musta, and all the mail carriers who brave the elements to deliver our mail.
Also Sainted the USPS for canceling mail service on Wednesday last week and keeping our carriers safe. You all are most appreciated.

I’d like to Saint my mail carrier, Mike. He’s kind, friendly and goes above and beyond to get the job done. I’m in a wheelchair so I order items online. On occasion, he will bring the very large boxes to my door; otherwise I have to wait for assistance to get them.

A big sainted to Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and master plumber, Frank.
During the recent cold snap I had a frozen water line in my master bathroom shower and called for help. Frank was referred to me. Within seconds Frank called me back and walked me through some remedial steps I could do to free up the line to save time and money.
In a short time they worked. Grateful for the help and great service I called back with the good news and appreciation for his guidance.
Many of my neighbors in he area were not so lucky with other plumbers in the area.

Mendota Heights has been blessed with an 80-year-old gentleman named Glen who hasn’t missed a day of delivering our newspaper, and it’s put at your front door.
Even the mail may not be delivered but Glen had our paper at the door and early, too.
