West St. Paul is getting a new Cuban and Dominican restaurant.
The former Taste of Love Bakery on Dodd Road and Annapolis Street has been remodeled and transformed into El Cubano, the bricks-and-mortar version of a food trailer and catering service.
No word on what the menu in the restaurant will look like, but the trailer serves a mix of sandwiches (yes, there’s a Cubano) and plates with various meats and sides.
A post on the upcoming restaurant’s Facebook page says they’re planning “a juice bar and a much bigger menu.”
No word yet on an exact opening date yet, but from looking through the window, it appears the space is close to being ready to serve.
